The patient has the right

  1. to confidentiality regarding information that healthcare professionals have learned in connection with medical care or treatment.
  2. to receive all information relating to their health.
  3. to obtain from their doctor the information necessary to make an informed decision before the start of a new diagnostic or therapeutic procedure.
  4. to refuse treatment and be informed of the potential consequences of that decision.
  5. to privacy during medical care or treatment.
  6. to a free preventive check-up to monitor or improve their health.
  7. to an active approach by the health care facility to preventive check-ups.
  8. to participate in the review of the health care provided.
  9. to at least one medicinal product in each group of active substances covered by health insurance.
  10. to a medical device covered by health insurance, in a basic, most cost-effective version appropriate to the extent and severity of their health condition.
  11. to request information relating to their person held in the operator’s records.
  12. to be treated with consideration, sensitivity and dignity.
